TX2 Team Up With Reel Big Fish For Unexpected New Single That Tackles The Cycle Of Hate

TX2 have returned with another new release, this time joining forces with ska punk veterans Reel Big Fish on Evil Is Contagious. The track sees the fast rising alternative artist continue the momentum built by recent single confession, while delivering a message about how pain and hatred can be passed from one person to the next.

The collaboration is one of TX2’s most unexpected yet, blending the band’s modern alternative sound with Reel Big Fish’s unmistakable ska punk influence. It also marks another milestone in a year that has seen TX2 continue to grow on both sides of the Atlantic following appearances at Download Festival, Rock am Ring, Rock for People and several other major European festivals.

Speaking about the song, frontman Evan Thomas explained that Evil Is Contagious was written from a simple but powerful idea.

“After the success of confession, we wanted to keep momentum going and release Evil Is Contagious with our friends in Reel Big Fish. I’ve learned hurt people hurt people in this world, and that is the point of this song. It is a perspective of the world, and why evil exists.”

The release follows a busy period for TX2, whose debut album End Of Us arrived via Hopeless Records and features collaborations with artists including Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, Black Veil Brides, From First To Last, Magnolia Park, DeathbyRomy and Ekoh. Away from the music, Thomas has also continued to grow the X Movement, a fan community focused on supporting mental health and creating safer spaces within alternative music.

Alongside the new single, TX2 have also announced a UK headline tour for March 2027. The six date run begins at London’s Electric Ballroom before heading to Southampton, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Nottingham, with tickets on sale now.
