Reckless Press wasn’t born in a boardroom or behind a desk — it started in a small hometown, fueled by teenage passion and a hunger for something real. We were just a bunch of kids frustrated that no one was putting on the gigs we wanted to go to, so we did what any obsessed music fans would do: we created our own. Our very first show was Neck Deep, before they blew up. From that moment, we were hooked. Bi-weekly shows became a ritual, a community, a movement.
Before becoming Reckless Press, we were called THIS GIG, then Reckless Promotions, putting on shows and building a local scene from the ground up. When COVID-19 shut down live events worldwide, we had to adapt. Unable to host gigs, we shifted gears and launched the Reckless Press website — a new way to keep the music alive and connect fans with the bands they love.
Today, Reckless Press is a platform dedicated to the bands and sounds that refuse to fit neatly into a box — from the relentless energy of pop punk to the crushing power of hardcore and the relentless innovation of metal.
We’re still the same people who started this journey — music lovers driven by passion and a desire to share new discoveries with fans who get it. Our goal is simple: to connect people to their next favourite band and keep the underground thriving.
