SAVE US Turn a Life Changing Moment Into Debut Album Death To Something

SAVE US have announced their debut album Death To Something, arriving on October 16 via Solid State Records.

Alongside the announcement, the transcontinental metalcore trio have shared the album’s title track, giving fans another taste of what’s to come from the record produced by Landon Tewers.

The story behind SAVE US is almost as remarkable as the music itself. The band began in 2023 after Bristol based guitarist Chris Biddiscombe discovered vocalist Miguel Owls through a series of cover videos on TikTok. Despite being separated by more than 5,000 miles, the pair quickly started writing together before being joined by drummer Benji Havercroft.

The album’s title track carries a particularly personal meaning. Speaking about the song, Owls explained that it was inspired by the birth of his son.

“Sometimes there has to be a death to your old life in order to build a better one for the people you love.”

He added that the song explores the struggles and hardships of his past and the process of cutting ties with things that were holding him back.

SAVE US have continued building momentum since the release of their LUCID EP, with standout single “Distance” surpassing 2.6 million Spotify streams. After following it up with 2024’s EXIST EP, the band signed with  Solid State Records and headed to Michigan to work with Tewers on what has become their debut full length release.

The band will also hit the road this autumn as support for Saosin on their 20th anniversary tour across the United States, beginning in Anaheim on October 23 and wrapping up in San Diego on November 28.
