Against The Current are back and stepping into a new era.
Fresh off a sold out run across the US, UK, and Europe, the band have released their latest single “Heavenly,” marking the start of what looks like a big chapter for 2026.
Speaking on the track, vocalist Chrissy Costanza said: “Heavenly is the realisation that the fall from grace is liberation. After balancing on a knife’s edge atop a pedestal others put you on, the moment of letting everyone down becomes the first gasp of fresh air after a lifetime of holding your breath.”
It’s a strong statement and one that lines up with where the band are right now. After going independent and dropping singles like “silent stranger,” “blindfolded,” and “good guy,” Against The Current have been building towards something bigger, and “Heavenly” feels like that next step.
Formed back in 2011, the trio have grown from a teenage project into a global name, pulling in millions of streams and building a loyal fanbase along the way. Their crossover into gaming with “Legends Never Die” alongside Riot Games only pushed things further, with the track going on to pass a billion streams.
Now 15 years in, they’re not slowing down. With more music on the way and plans for a global tour, this feels like the start of a bigger push.
