Lyric Noel has teamed up with Stitched Up Heart vocalist Mixi Demner for new single “Acid Bloom”, a cinematic rock release that blends an emotional story of betrayal, survival and transformation with an ambitious new music video. The track is out now via Judge & Jury Records.
The collaboration grew from a genuine friendship between the two artists. After first connecting through their shared love of music and storytelling, Demner introduced Lyric Noel to Judge & Jury Records, helping launch the next chapter of Lyric’s career. That relationship eventually became the foundation for “Acid Bloom”, with both artists bringing their own experiences and creativity into the project.
Speaking about working together, Demner said: “Flying out to Texas to work with Lyric Noel on ‘Acid Bloom’ was such a dream. The music video was insane, and the art department killed it with the whole science lab set. Everything about it was perfect. Building a real friendship with Lyric made it extra special. I’m so honoured I got to be part of such an incredible experience.”
While their friendship inspired the collaboration, the song tells a much darker fictional story. Using the metaphor of a scientific experiment gone wrong, “Acid Bloom” explores manipulation, toxic relationships and the painful transformation that can come from surviving them. The accompanying music video expands on that concept, with Lyric portraying a scientist who transforms into the mysterious Acid Bloom after a laboratory accident, while Demner plays a captured test subject caught in the organism’s disturbing evolution.
Lyric explained the meaning behind the track, saying: ”‘Acid Bloom’ is about what happens when the thing that promises to heal you is the very thing that’s poisoning you. It’s the moment survival turns into transformation, not because you wanted it to, but because you had no other choice. Sometimes growth isn’t beautiful. Sometimes it burns.”
The release marks another step forward for Lyric Noel, whose project has built a following of more than 900,000 across social media through emotionally honest songwriting and striking visuals. “Acid Bloom” is available to stream now via Judge & Jury Records, alongside its cinematic official music video featuring Mixi Demner.
