Pittsburgh metalcore outfit 156/Silence have shared their latest single, Swept From Under (Call Of The Void), alongside an official music video ahead of the release of their new album, From A Distance, arriving on September 4th via Pure Noise Records.
The track is the latest preview of the band’s upcoming full length, which follows 2024’s People Watching and features guest appearances from Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada, Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer and Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism across its 12 track runtime.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, the band said: “The call of the void is the voice in our heads that wants to self destruct even when we don’t feel bad. A compulsion to hurt ourselves even if we don’t want to. Being swept from under by intrusive thoughts.”
The release follows a busy few weeks for 156/Silence after their appearance at Inkcarceration Festival. The band will soon head out across North America with Chiodos before launching their own From A Distance headline tour with support from Aviana, Heavensgate and Fromjoy. UK and European fans will also be able to catch the band later this year when they join The Devil Wears Prada on tour.
