Arankai is keeping the momentum going.. The rising alt rock name has just released his new single “Playing God,” a track that leans into heartbreak, self respect, and knowing when to walk away. It’s another step forward following his debut album A Portrait of Red and continues his run of sharp, emotionally driven releases.
“Playing God” hits that balance between heavy and catchy, built on punchy riffs and big hooks, but with a message that lands. Speaking on the track, Arankai describes it as “A f*** you anthem with fight riffs and sick hooks,” adding that sometimes the best thing you can do is leave people behind rather than waste energy holding onto it.
Since signing with Hopeless Records in 2025, Arankai has been steadily building something real. With over 2.5 million followers and a growing fanbase off the back of viral content and live shows, he’s quickly becoming one of the more exciting names coming up in the alt scene.
