As December Falls Release Tribute Song To Honour Fan Leanne With All Proceeds Going To Her Daughters

Sometimes music becomes far more than just music. As December Falls have released a special re-imagined version of their song Little By Little in memory of a fan named Leanne, who sadly passed away in February.

The band shared the story on social media, explaining that they were contacted a few months ago by Leanne’s best friend Laura. Over the years, Laura and Leanne had attended numerous As December Falls shows together, with the band getting to know both of them along the way. They also met Leanne’s young daughter during the band’s Nottingham acoustic album launch.

Following Leanne’s passing, Laura asked the band if they would record a new version of Little By Little to be played at her memorial. Rather than stopping there, the band decided they wanted to do something even bigger.

In a statement, the band explained:

“Sadly, Leanne passed away in February and Laura asked us to record a re-imagined version of Little By Little to be played at Leanne’s memorial. We wanted to also honour Leanne and have released the track today with Laura and Leanne’s husband’s blessing.”

The band also confirmed that all profits from the song will be donated directly to Leanne’s two young daughters.

It’s a genuinely touching gesture from a band that has always maintained a close connection with its fanbase, and the response from fans has been overwhelmingly supportive. Messages of love, condolences and appreciation quickly filled the comments as listeners praised the band for turning a personal request into something that could help support Leanne’s family.

The track is available now, with all profits going directly to Leanne’s two daughters. Go and give the song a listen. Every stream helps support the family while keeping Leanne’s memory alive through the music she loved.

Rest in peace, Leanne.
