Boston Manor Give Drowned In Gold A Fresh New Life With Stripped Back Acoustic Version

Boston Manor have released a brand new acoustic version of Drowned In Gold, giving one of the band’s standout tracks a completely different feel nearly a decade after its original release.

The new version is available now and serves as the latest preview of the band’s upcoming Be Nothing. 10 Year Anniversary Edition, arriving on 14th August via Pure Noise Records. While the anniversary collection revisits the band’s acclaimed debut, this release puts the spotlight firmly back on Drowned In Gold with a fresh acoustic arrangement.

Speaking about the track, guitarist Mike Cunniff explained that Drowned In Gold was a pivotal song for the band. Written while they were working towards Welcome To The Neighbourhood, he said it became the bridge between the two records and marked the point where Boston Manor started pushing their sound in new directions.

The acoustic version joins previously released reworks of Laika and Lead Feet on the upcoming anniversary edition, giving fans a new way to experience some of the band’s best loved songs.

The Be Nothing. 10 Year Anniversary Edition is released on 14th August, with Boston Manor also set to perform the album in full for the first time on an upcoming UK and US tour.
