Waterparks have released their latest single, “BETTER THAN THERAPY”, offering another preview of their forthcoming sixth album, JINX, which arrives on July 24 via BMG.
The new track sees the trio continue building towards one of this summer’s most anticipated alternative releases. Packed with the band’s signature blend of humour, honesty and huge hooks, “BETTER THAN THERAPY” explores finding comfort in someone who understands every flaw, no matter how chaotic life becomes.
Speaking about the song, frontman Awsten Knight joked: “Here’s the thing. I actually haven’t been to therapy in a couple years and I think it’s catching up with me…”
JINX marks another new era for Waterparks, following the band’s decision to scrap an almost finished version of the album and start again from scratch. Produced with longtime collaborator Zakk Cervini alongside Nick Zinnanti, the record promises another bold step forward for a band that has built its reputation on constant reinvention.

The album arrives on July 24 and features collaborations with Mark Hoppus, Danny Elfman, Eric Nally and Dillon Francis on opening track “TELL ME WHY”. “BETTER THAN THERAPY” is available to stream now.
