Winona Fighter Turn Fans Into Camera Crew for Explosive “BOMBS AWAY” Live Video

Winona Fighter have released a fan filmed live video for their latest single “BOMBS AWAY”, giving fans a front row view of the song’s first ever live performance.

The footage was captured during the band’s set at Welcome To Rockville earlier this year, where “BOMBS AWAY” made its live debut just hours after being surprise released. Rather than relying on a traditional video crew, the band handed camcorders to fans throughout the crowd, creating a video entirely from the audience’s perspective.

Speaking about the experience, the band said: “We were so stoked to be able to debut BOMBS AWAY at Rockville this past May. We couldn’t believe, even though we had surprise released this song, the crowd was singing and moshing along like it had been a long time fan favorite. Giving fans camcorders to film their experience was icing on the cake for us. How fucking cool.”

“BOMBS AWAY” follows the release of Winona Fighter’s debut album MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF, which arrived via Rise Records to widespread praise. The band later expanded the record with a deluxe edition featuring acoustic versions of every original track, covers of Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” and Violent Femmes’ “Blister In The Sun”, alongside the additional song “(Don’t Get) CLOSE”.

The Nashville trio are currently on the idobi Radio Summer School Tour across the US alongside Honey Revenge, South Arcade, Games We Play and Chase Petra. They’ll also return to Vans Warped Tour later this year for the Long Beach and Mexico City dates as they continue building momentum behind one of punk’s fastest rising names.
