Left To Suffer Launch Their Hopeless Records Era With ‘Gun In The Duffle Bag’

Left To Suffer have kicked off a new chapter with the release of Gun In The Duffle Bag, their first track since signing with Hopeless Records.

The Georgia heavy hitters unveiled the single on June 10, giving fans their first taste of what’s next for the band following the label announcement. The release arrives ahead of a busy second half of 2026, which includes a major North American tour alongside death metal veterans Dying Fetus.

According to vocalist Taylor Barber, the song explores the point where anger completely takes over.

“This song is about when your anger has boiled over and you’ve lost all sense of control on your emotions. So you’re violently romanticising the downfall for your enemies in your head.”

Guitarist Peter Higgs described the track as one of the band’s most personal and honest releases to date, adding: “Gun In The Duffle Bag is one of the more brutally honest songs we’ve put out when it comes to anger, regret and survival instinct happening all at the same time. Can’t think of a better way to settle in and show everyone this new chapter we’ve entered with Hopeless Records.”

The release marks another significant step forward for Left To Suffer, who have continued to build momentum within the modern metal scene through relentless touring and a growing fanbase. Fans will get plenty of opportunities to hear the new material live when the band joins Dying Fetus across North America this autumn, with stops planned in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and more.
