REZN Announce New Album Cycles in the Infinite Dream as “Cloudfall” Drops

Chicago heavy psych outfit REZN have announced their new album Cycles in the Infinite Dream, set for release on July 24 via Sargent House. Alongside the announcement, the band have also dropped the lead single “Cloudfall” along with a brand new video.

The album marks the follow up to 2024’s Burden and continues REZN’s run of expansive, atmosphere driven heavy music. Across the past decade, the band have built a strong reputation within the doom and psychedelic metal world thanks to their mix of massive riffs, ambient textures and cinematic songwriting. Cycles in the Infinite Dream leans heavily into themes surrounding dreams, subconscious states and the strange space between waking life and sleep.

Speaking on the album’s concept, the band explained: “We moved towards the dream and subconscious state as a lyrical concept and melodic theme. The pseudo waking state is a reflection of a second existence. Something that you can flee to or be imprisoned by.”

Lead single “Cloudfall” explores themes of sleep paralysis and false awakenings, while also introducing a new element to REZN’s sound through Spencer Ouellette’s use of lap steel guitar. The track arrives with a video directed by Chris Owsiany and Tom Conway.

The album will feature nine tracks including “Transient,” “Aerial Birth,” and “Terra Preta.” REZN are also set to head across Europe this summer with appearances at Hellfest and Rock For People, alongside support dates with All Them Witches, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats and Elder.
