South Wales pop punk outfit Fortune Teller have returned with their brand new single ‘Lucid State’, released today, April 16. The fast-rising five piece continue their push with a track that marks a clear step forward as they build on the buzz surrounding their early releases.
The band have been steadily gaining attention thanks to their debut EP Premonitions, which picked up strong support across the scene. With airplay from Kerrang! Radio and BBC Radio Wales, plus high praise from outlets like Punktastic and PowerPlay Magazine, Fortune Teller have quickly positioned themselves as one to watch in the UK pop punk space.
Speaking on the new release, the band explain that ‘Lucid State’ represents a shift in both sound and theme, leaning into more vulnerable territory while still staying rooted in their core style. They describe it as following a personal journey of finding connection after a period of self healing, capturing that almost dreamlike feeling of stepping into something new and not wanting to lose it.
The single arrives alongside a visualiser, giving fans a first look at this new chapter, and continues to build anticipation around what the band do next.
Fortune Teller will also be taking the track on the road over the coming months, with appearances lined up at Spring Breakdown in Banbury, New Rock City Festival in Cardiff, and GR Outdoor Music Festival in Treforist. Visit their socials for more details!
