The All American Rejects Just Dropped the Christmas Song You Can Play All Year

The All American Rejects have arrived with Get This, and it might be the most perfectly balanced Christmas song of the year. It gives you just enough festive energy to fit into a December playlist, but it never leans so hard into holiday territory that you would question hearing it in the middle of July. It is clever, playful and very much an AAR track before anything else.

The All-American Rejects – Get This

The music video is where the festive flavour really comes in. The band jump through nods to classic Christmas films, from slightly wonky elf outfits to familiar movie moments you will recognise instantly. Tyson Ritter throws himself into every shot like he is starring in a holiday special that somehow feels both nostalgic and brand new. It is fun, light and full of personality without ever feeling over the top.

This whole moment lands right in the middle of the band’s massive resurgence. After an arena run with the Jonas Brothers, a viral House Party Tour, and a run of singles that have dominated feeds all year, the lead-up to their new album Sandbox feels bigger than ever. It is due in Spring 2026 and has already pulled in millions of streams before release. Get This only adds to the excitement.

Tyson mentioned that the song was written on a sunny back porch, and you can hear that warmth straight away. It feels loose and easy in all the right ways, the kind of track that reminds you why this band connected with so many people in the first place. The festive touches in the video are just a bonus for anyone looking for something seasonal that does not go too heavy on the theme.

If you want a Christmas song that you can play without feeling like you have stepped into a shopping centre soundtrack, this is the one. It fits December without taking over, and it will sit comfortably in any playlist long after the tree comes down.
