SUCKERPUNCH! Sign to Nettwerk and Tease a Pop Punk Banger with “BITE MY TONGUE”

Montréal’s own SUCKERPUNCH! are taking things to the next level. The fast-rising pop punk outfit has officially signed with Nettwerk Music Group, the indie label known for working with legends like SUM 41 and Avril Lavigne—aka the kind of company SUCKERPUNCH! were practically born to keep.

Their new single, “BITE MY TONGUE,” lands on July 4th, and it’s gearing up to be the kind of track that punches you right in the feels. The band leans hard into early 2000s nostalgia—think the golden days of All Time Low and Metro Station—but with a fresh twist and razor-sharp production. It’s everything pop punk fans crave: emotional honesty, huge choruses, and a little bit of “I’m fine but also spiraling.”

Frontman Fred Thuot calls the song a “crash course on keeping your feelings bottled in,” admitting he often overthinks things to the point of silence. Writing the song became a cathartic (and ironically expressive) outlet for all the words he never got to say. The result? A catchy anthem for every overthinker who’s ever walked away from a conversation replaying it in their head a thousand times.

Formed in 2022, SUCKERPUNCH! have quickly made a name for themselves with their “fun and dumb” mission statement, regular spins on SiriusXM and Idobi Radio, and sets alongside pop punk royalty like Fall Out Boy and Dashboard Confessional. Despite the fast rise, they’re staying grounded, holding onto that light-hearted attitude that’s made them so magnetic.

With over 2 million streams already under their belt, a new label deal, and a single that’s ready to go off like a firework, SUCKERPUNCH! are primed to make this summer their loudest yet. Keep an eye out on July 4th—because “BITE MY TONGUE” might just become your new favorite scream-in-the-car track.
