Manchester’s Hot Milk are back with a bang, announcing their second album, Corporation P.O.P, set for release on June 27, 2025, via Music For Nations. Kicking things off is the first single, “90 Seconds to Midnight,” a fiery anthem that pulls no punches—and comes with a surprise appearance from British comedy legend Frank Skinner in the music video.
The track is a blistering wake-up call, inspired by philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau and poet John Betjeman’s “Slough,” mixing raw social commentary with a touch of tongue-in-cheek humor. Frontwoman Han Mee describes it as “a balls-to-the-wall little riffy boy that comes at you relentlessly.” The song’s title references the Doomsday Clock creeping closer to midnight, symbolizing the growing chaos of the modern world.
The video? Shot in Salford, it’s a DIY effort that captures the band’s roots while roping in Frank Skinner, best known for Room 101 and co-writing England’s football anthem Three Lions.
What to Expect from Corporation P.O.P
Produced by Jim Shaw, Zach Jones, and KJ Strock, the album promises to be Hot Milk at their heaviest, loudest, and most unapologetic. Lyrically, it tackles everything from societal collapse to personal struggles, all with the band’s signature blend of chaos and humor.
“This album is a flurry of thoughts and feelings from nights out, coming home to Salford, and trying to make sense of the world,” says Jim Shaw. “P.O.P stands for ‘Payment of Pain’—because we all have to live with the burden of modernity, and we all have to pay.”
Gearing Up for a Huge Year
Alongside the album, Hot Milk have also announced UK and US headline dates, as well as festival slots throughout the summer. With big riffs, bold statements, and their signature chaotic energy, the band is gearing up for a massive year.
