Sunbleached have officially released their debut album Stop Destroying The Things You Love, out now via Community Music.
The Brisbane alternative rock band arrive at album number one having already built an impressive few years behind them, sharing stages with Citizen, Movements, Holding Absence, Fleshwater, Touché Amoré, Boston Manor and Highly Suspect since forming in 2020.
Produced by Fletcher Matthews, whose credits include Trophy Eyes, Dear Seattle and Secret World, Stop Destroying The Things You Love features 11 tracks and brings together Sunbleached’s alternative rock and emo influences.
The band have also shared a video for the album’s title track to coincide with its release.
The road towards the record began with “Slow Burn”, which has since become Sunbleached’s biggest track to date with hundreds of thousands of streams. “Pain Chamber” and “Maybe I’ll Come Around” followed ahead of the full album.
Made up of Josh Baker on vocals, Bradley Maddaford on guitar and backing vocals, Kaden Perkinson on bass, Brent Ottley on guitar and Izaac Calrow on drums, Sunbleached formed after its members spent time across previous musical projects.
Since then, the band have appeared at BIGSOUND and New Bloom Festival, joined the Destroy All Lines roster and steadily established themselves within Australia’s alternative scene.
