Sleeping With Sirens have gone right back to the beginning, releasing a newly recorded version of ‘I’m Coming Home (Big Gulps)’, a song that dates all the way back to the band’s earliest days in 2009.
‘Big Gulps’ was the first song written by Sleeping With Sirens and appeared in the first video uploaded to the band’s YouTube channel. The original was a rough performance recorded in one take on a MacBook, but 17 years later, fans digging through the band’s old material helped give the track an unexpected second life on TikTok.
That renewed attention eventually brought Kellin Quinn back into the studio to record the song properly for the first time.
“Big Gulps was the very first Sleeping With Sirens song ever written, so it’s pretty amazing to see our fans digging through our old content on YouTube and watching it take off on TikTok,” Quinn explains. “The original recording was literally recorded on a MacBook back in 2009. So, I wanted to get back into the studio and properly rerecord a new acoustic version of the song.”
The reprise follows the release of Sleeping With Sirens’ eighth studio album, ‘An Ending In Itself’, which arrived on June 12th through Rise Records and was produced by Will Yip.
Sleeping With Sirens will head out across the US and Canada this autumn before visiting Latin America in December. They then bring the ‘An Ending In Itself’ tour to Europe and the UK in February and March 2027 with Arm’s Length and Like Roses, finishing with a show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on March 7th.
