New Jersey pop punk trio Northvale have returned with their latest single, “Not Myself”, released on October 15th. The track marks another step forward for the band as they begin a new chapter following their debut album.

The single follows April’s “Post Script” and their 2025 full length album Where We Go When There’s Nothing Left. This time, the band are tackling the pressure of chasing personal goals and what happens when that ambition starts taking its toll.

Speaking about the meaning behind the track, Northvale explained:

“We spend years running toward our goals, pushing ourselves to the absolute limit, until one day you stop and realize you don’t even recognize the person you’ve become.”

The band added that “Not Myself” explores the moment someone begins questioning whether their ambitions are worth everything they’ve sacrificed along the way.

Comprised of vocalist Keith Carroll, guitarist Chris Stroz and drummer Aren Millan, Northvale have previously collaborated with members of The Dangerous Summer, The Home Team and Broadside. Their debut album also saw them work with producers Brett Romnes and Gary Cioni.

With more new music planned, “Not Myself” marks the beginning of the band’s next chapter.

Northvale will return to the stage on November 15th at Bowery Palace in New York, sharing the bill with The Last Post. Tickets are listed at $15 on the door in the band’s announcement.

“Not Myself” is available now across streaming platforms.
