The Paradox found themselves in front of one of the biggest audiences on the internet this weekend, joining Kai Cenat during his 24 hour livestream and turning the AMP house into an impromptu rock show.
The Atlanta band performed their viral single “I Kinda Like That” before Kai got involved himself, embracing his emo rockstar alter ego Kyle, grabbing the mic and joining the band for a performance.
He did not leave empty handed either. The Paradox surprised Kai with his own custom guitar, prompting him to jokingly announce that he was officially joining the group. So, for the time being at least, Kai Cenat is The Paradox’s unofficial fifth member.
It is another huge crossover moment for a band whose audience is quickly extending beyond traditional rock spaces. The four piece formed in Atlanta just two years ago and have since built an audience of more than 3.3 million followers across their platforms.
The Paradox also made Billboard history with “Get The Message”, becoming the first all Black band to reach No. 1 on the Alternative Airplay chart. Along the way, they have picked up support from some pretty big names, including Billie Joe Armstrong, Travis Barker, Jack White, SZA, Kid Cudi and LeBron James.
Their first national headline tour this autumn is already completely sold out across all 21 dates, including two nights in both New York and Los Angeles.
Next up, The Paradox will release new single “That’s Not Fair” this Friday, September 4th, before their six track EP ‘Proceed With Caution’ arrives on October 2nd!
