Hollow Pact have released their new single ‘Witchking’ via Sumerian Records, alongside an official music video..
The track follows ‘Tear’, which marked the rising hard rock outfit’s first release since signing with Sumerian Records. This time, the band are taking aim at the frustration of watching someone receive sympathy while knowing there is another side to the story.
Speaking about the meaning behind the track, Hollow Pact explained:
“‘Witchking’ represents that moment when you are watching somebody collect an unwarranted sympathy after they were the cause of another person’s suffering and pain. It’s about the frustration it feels to witness their dishonest feelings on display as they allow themselves to fall into the hands of a story that no one knows the other side of.”
The release arrives just before Hollow Pact head back out on the road. They’ll join Royale Lynn for a run beginning on August 29th, with dates in Albuquerque, Phoenix, Henderson and Denver.
Later this year, the band will also support Of Mice & Men for three shows in California, beginning at The Observatory in Santa Ana on November 19th before stops in San Diego and Sacramento.
