From First To Last have announced their new EP, We Were Bleeding Anyway, set for release on October 2nd via Fearless Records.
The announcement arrives alongside new single “They Said Your Ghost Was A Promise”, the latest music from the band following their return with new vocalist Lil Lotus. The track deals with the loss of a loved one and the experience of trying to live with that absence.
“They Said Your Ghost Was a Promise is a really special song. It tackles the subject of loss of a loved one, and we hope it can resonate with others dealing with the same,” the band explain.
We Were Bleeding Anyway will feature six tracks, including previously released “Your Name in Red Ink”, and marks the next chapter for a band closely tied to the rise of post-hardcore and emo in the 2000s.
The current From First To Last lineup brings together Lil Lotus with Matt Good, Travis Richter, original bassist Matt Manning and drummer Chris Lent. The band signed with Fearless Records earlier this summer as they continued their latest return to activity.
While From First To Last’s history stretches back more than two decades, the band are positioning this era as more than a nostalgia run. With Lil Lotus now fronting the group, the new material brings together elements of the sound that defined their early records with the current lineup.
