Drop Dead, Gorgeous are continuing their return with DAGGERS, a new six track EP released on September 18th. The record follows the Denver post hardcore band’s recent run of new music after ending a decade long hiatus, with Apple Music confirming it as their latest release.
DAGGERS features “Cyanide”, “Sink Your Teeth”, “Six Feet”, “GHOSTS”, “Burn” and “Feels Like Forever”, with the latter carrying a particularly personal meaning for the band.
“Feels Like Forever” was written as a tribute to former Drop Dead, Gorgeous guitarist Kyle Browning, who passed away. Vocalist Danny “Stills” Stillman says the track reflects on losing a close friend, the things left unsaid and trying to find some form of closure.
“It is a deeply personal tribute to our former guitarist Kyle Browning, who passed away too soon,” Stillman explains. “More than anything, the song is a remembrance of a friend, bandmate, and a chapter of life that will never be forgotten.”
For drummer Danny Cooper, DAGGERS is about moving Drop Dead, Gorgeous forward without abandoning what made the band what it was.
“This EP feels like the next chapter of Drop Dead, Gorgeous,” Cooper says, describing the release as “a progression, not a reinvention.”
The EP arrives more than two decades after Drop Dead, Gorgeous formed in Denver and 20 years after the release of their debut album In Vogue. After spending roughly a decade away, the band returned to activity in 2024 before releasing “Six Feet”, “Burn” and “Sink Your Teeth” throughout 2025. The latter was released in December alongside the previous two tracks through The Artery Foundation.
Drop Dead, Gorgeous will also be back on stage over the coming months, with appearances surrounding Aftershock, Vans Warped Tour in Orlando and The Artery Foundation’s 20 year anniversary show in Denver.
