Deux Visages have announced their debut album ‘Call It Goodbye’, arriving November 6th via Pure Noise Records, and shared new single ‘Automatic’.
The record will be the Philadelphia based trio’s first full length and their first with Pure Noise Records, following a journey that has already included an early deal with Atlantic Records, a move from Miami to Philadelphia and tours alongside Mannequin Pussy, julie, Wunderhorse and Sweet Pill.
That turbulent early period feeds directly into ‘Automatic’, with vocalist Daphney Hanono explaining that the new single looks back at the collapse of their first record deal and the pressure the band felt while everything around them was changing.
“A lot of this track has to do with things crashing down around us with our first record deal. It was our early days as a band and touring, and we weren’t feeling worthy or ready to handle all of these major changes.”
‘Call It Goodbye’ was recorded in Miami with longtime friend Arquimides ‘Arkii’ Cala, who has worked with Deux Visages since their earliest material, including their debut single ‘Cheetah’. Across 11 tracks, the album explores growing up, uncertainty and the tension between holding onto the past and moving forward.
The band have already shared ‘Always You’ and ‘Behind’ from the record, with ‘Automatic’ now arriving alongside an official video.
Deux Visages will also spend October supporting The Linda Lindas across the US East Coast, with shows in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, New Haven and Brooklyn.
