A tribute page honouring the life of New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert has been launched by Adrenal Cure Collective, with the support of his wife, Lisa Cimorelli, to celebrate his legacy and raise awareness of rare adrenal cancers.

Gilbert passed away on September 20th, 2026, aged 45, following a five-year battle with cancer. The founding member of New Found Glory helped shape pop punk for nearly three decades, leaving behind a musical legacy that influenced generations of fans and musicians.

The tribute shares a more personal side of Gilbert’s life, focusing on his love for his wife, Lisa, and their daughter, Lily, as well as his determination to continue making music and spending time with his family throughout his illness.

According to Adrenal Cure Collective, Gilbert’s cancer journey began in 2021, when doctors initially believed he had metastatic pheochromocytoma. Following years of surgeries, treatments and recurrences, further testing revealed that he had actually been living with stage IV adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), a rare form of cancer affecting the adrenal glands.

Despite his health struggles, Gilbert remained open about his experiences and continued working on music. In June 2026, he made an emotional return to the stage with New Found Glory, performing with his daughter watching from the audience.

The organisation has now created a dedicated tribute page where fans can learn more about Gilbert’s life and make donations in his memory.

Funds raised will support Adrenal Cure Collective’s work to increase awareness, advance research and improve treatment options for people diagnosed with the disease.

While millions knew Gilbert through New Found Glory and the music he helped create, the tribute also highlights what mattered most to him away from the stage: being a husband and father.
