Los Angeles emo outfit Car Underwater have released their new single, ‘Waiting (For The Rope To Slip)’, alongside an official music video, just days before heading out on a US tour with Static Dress and I Promised The World.
The release follows a busy year for the band, who introduced themselves with their debut EP, Dagger Breaks Window, and recently made their UK debut supporting Bring Me The Horizon at their Count Your Blessings anniversary shows.
Featuring members with connections to Wisp, Photographic Memory, Ghostemane and other projects, Car Underwater draw inspiration from the likes of Thursday, Underoath and From First To Last, bringing their influences into a new generation of emo and post-hardcore.
The new single arrives ahead of Static Dress’ Injury Episode USA Tour, which kicks off on November 4 in Detroit. Car Underwater will join Static Dress and I Promised The World across 27 dates, visiting Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, Austin, New York and more before wrapping up in Boston on December 6.
The tour will also feature appearances from Concealer, Sherane and septemberistheonlytimeidontthinkofyou.
‘Waiting (For The Rope To Slip)’ is available to stream now, with the official music video also out!
