Bayside are getting into the festive spirit with the release of their brand new Christmas single, ‘Best Christmas Yet’, available now alongside an official visualiser!
The Queens punk rock favourites have returned with another holiday release, this time focusing on the people, memories and traditions that make Christmas special. Rather than chasing the picture perfect Christmas often portrayed in festive songs, the band have taken a more personal approach.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, frontman Anthony Raneri explained:
“We wrote ‘Best Christmas Yet’ to address what the holidays are really about to us, being with the people you love and who love you back.”
Raneri also spoke about the pressure people place on themselves to create the perfect Christmas, explaining that the band wanted to offer something that reflects what the holidays actually mean to them.
The new single follows a busy summer for Bayside, who released a series of EPs individually curated by members of the band. Each collection featured artwork designed by its respective member, alongside a previously unavailable digital B-side from their 2011 album Killing Time.
