Rising heavy music artist Showing Teeth has released her new single ‘Hellraiser’, accompanied by an official music video, via Republic Records and Spinefarm.

Showing Teeth – ‘Hellrasier’

The Nashville artist follows up her debut EP, A Fate Worse Than Loneliness, with a deeply personal track confronting religious hypocrisy, abuse and the experiences that shaped her upbringing.

Speaking about the meaning behind the release, Showing Teeth explains:

“‘Hellraiser’ is about the rage I feel towards my upbringing and the suffering I faced by the hands of the very people claiming to hold the keys to heaven.”

The accompanying music video draws heavily on horror drag, combining unsettling imagery with the art form that has influenced her creative identity.

“It was important to me to include drag artists in the ‘Hellraiser’ video, because of the inspiration they give me in my writing, as well as to push back against the punishment drag art receives from Christian conservative media.”

The release follows a significant period for Showing Teeth. Her debut EP has surpassed 10 million streams, while recent months have seen her support President across North America, introducing ‘Hellraiser’ to audiences during the sold-out tour.
