Cage The Elephant Make Billboard History With First New Music In Two Years

Cage The Elephant have followed up their return with “Beaches In Tennessee” by releasing the track’s official music video, directed by frontman Matt Shultz.

The single arrived last month as the band’s first new music in two years and their first release since signing with Big Loud Rock. It has already delivered a major milestone, debuting at number one on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Airplay chart and becoming only the sixth song in the chart’s history to enter directly at the top.

“Beaches In Tennessee” is also currently sitting inside the Top 5 at both Alternative and AAA radio.

The new video was directed by Shultz, with creative strategy from Maya Elias and editing by Michael Rees. The track itself was produced by Justin Raisen and SADPONY, also known as Jeremiah Raisen.

The release marks the beginning of another chapter for Cage The Elephant following their run as special guests on Oasis’ Live ’25 tour. Rather than taking much of a break afterwards, the band headed straight back into the studio and are currently working on more new music.

With a historic Billboard debut already behind their first single back, it looks like there could be plenty more to come from Cage The Elephant.
