Lonely The Brave have reunited with founding vocalist Dave Jakes and confirmed two headline shows for November 2026. The original five piece will return to the stage at Mash in Cambridge on 12 November, followed by London’s Bush Hall on 17th November.
The shows arrive exactly 10 years after the band’s last headline performance with Jakes, who left Lonely The Brave due to health reasons in early 2018. He fronted the Cambridge band on their acclaimed albums ‘The Day’s War’ and ‘Things Will Matter’, which have collected more than 85 million combined Spotify streams.
The reunion began after the members rebuilt their friendships and eventually returned to the rehearsal room together. According to guitarist Mark Trotter, there was never a grand plan behind it.
“The five of us reconnecting was something totally organic and unexpected,” he said. “To all be in a rehearsal room together again, hearing his voice with the songs we wrote, being the band we were when we first started all this, it’s incredibly special.”
Those early rehearsals soon developed into something bigger, with the original lineup now writing new music and planning further activity. Trotter confirmed that the November dates will be the band’s only shows of 2026, but described them as “the first of many”.
The Cambridge show will feature support from The Grey, while Eyre Llew will open in London. Ticket presales begin on Wednesday 22 July through the Lonely The Brave mailing list, ahead of the general sale on Friday 24th July.
