XCOMM’s ‘Time To Burn’ Feels Like The Arrival Of Hardcore’s Next Big Band

After months of hype, viral singles and chaotic live shows, XCOMM have officially released their highly anticipated debut album Time To Burn via Blowed Out Records.

The Venice Beach hardcore outfit launched the record alongside new single “PIRATES” featuring Ghostemane, giving fans one final explosive preview of the album’s raw, unpredictable energy. The accompanying video, directed by Darren Craig, also features Fletcher Dragge.

Produced by legendary producer Ross Robinson, whose work includes classic releases from Korn, Slipknot, Glassjaw and At The Drive-In, Time To Burn already feels like a defining hardcore debut. Across 11 tracks, the band channel frustration, chaos and youthful recklessness into something that feels raw, urgent and impossible to ignore.

Frontman Michael Gatto described making the album with Robinson as “amazing” and said working with Ghostemane on “PIRATES” was “mind-blowing”, while drummer Revel Ian called the recording process “the most cathartic experience” of his life.

The release caps off a breakout run for the band, which has already included supporting Foo Fighters at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, appearances at California Chaos Festival and upcoming slots on this year’s Warped Tour dates.

XCOMM’s rise has also caught the attention of some huge names across music and culture, including Dave Grohl, Keanu Reeves, Jack Black, Tony Hawk and members of System of a Down, Mastodon and Pennywise.

With Time To Burn now out in full, XCOMM have delivered the kind of debut album that feels less like an introduction and more like a warning shot.
