Stray View are back with a brand new single, “Mariposa,” released today. The track marks the band’s latest drop and continues their run of new material, giving fans something fresh heading into the year.
The band have been steadily building momentum, blending heavier elements with more melodic moments, and “Mariposa” looks to carry that forward. It lands as they prepare to hit the road again, linking up with label mates Melrose Avenue and Autumn Kings for a run of shows across North America.
Speaking on the track, Dave Escamilla explained the meaning behind it: “The song explores the experience of having to let go of something that you love. Sometimes in life, things that are beautiful and close to you can also be the same things that are keeping you from being the person you know you need to be. We reference the metaphor of a butterfly as a way to portray the duality of their beauty and fleeting nature.”

Stray View are set to take “Mariposa” on tour straight away, with dates kicking off tonight in Philadelphia and running through May, including stops in Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more.
