Out of nowhere, Enter Shikari have surprise released their brand new album Lose Your Self, available now via SO Recordings. No singles, no teasers, no warning. Just a full 12 track album dropped.. wtf!
It is a bold move, especially coming off the back of their last record A Kiss For The Whole World, which landed them their first UK Number 1 album. This time, the band have gone in the complete opposite direction, avoiding the usual rollout and putting the focus fully on the album as a whole body of work. The release is already available across streaming platforms, as well as physical formats including CD and vinyl.
Frontman Rou Reynolds explained the thinking behind it, saying they wanted fans to experience the record properly from start to finish, without being drip fed singles or explanations. He added that stepping away from charts and expectations allowed the band to present the music more naturally, describing it as one of their darkest releases but still rooted in hope.
The album explores themes around the state of the world, mixing heavier moments with a sense of optimism running underneath. It is a full listen experience rather than a playlist of singles, which is clearly the point.

Alongside the release, the band are gearing up for a huge run of shows. A North American East Coast tour kicks off in June, followed by a West Coast run later in the year. They will also hit the UK and Europe in November for their biggest arena tour yet, including two nights at Alexandra Palace. Each UK ticket will include a £1 donation to the Music Venue Trust, continuing a scheme the band helped push forward in recent years.
After over 3000 shows and a career that keeps levelling up, this feels like another statement move from Enter Shikari.
