A small detail inside Skate is going viral again on TikTok, and it links directly to The Story So Far frontman Parker Cannon. Players have rediscovered a house in the game where you can faintly hear a band practicing in the garage, and it turns out that band is Cannon’s high school project, Blind Impression.
Before The Story So Far, Cannon was playing guitar and singing in Blind Impression during his school years. Their name can be spotted as graffiti in the game, and some of the background audio was recorded by him and his friends while they were out skating, giving the band a subtle but permanent place in the game.
Cannon has previously explained that the opportunity came through a personal connection, with the band’s drummer and bassist’s dad helping get their music into the game.
What makes it even more interesting is how little of that era exists now. A few clips still float around online, but most of Blind Impression’s material is hard to find, making this hidden moment in Skate one of the only ways fans can still hear it.
