Bowling For Soup Take On “I’m Just A Kid” As Huge 2026 Tours Roll In

If you grew up screaming “I’m Just A Kid” in your bedroom, this one’s for you.

I’m Just A Kid

Bowling for Soup have dropped their own version of Simple Plan’s iconic anthem, giving it that unmistakable Bowling For Soup edge while keeping the heart of the original intact. It’s less a random cover and more a full circle moment between two bands who’ve shared stages and fans for over two decades.

The timing isn’t accidental either. With the Bigger Than You Think! Tour – The Sequel! on the horizon, and both bands heading out together again, the cover feels like a celebration of the era that shaped so many of us. If you’ve ever seen these two live on the same bill, you already know it’s more family reunion than standard tour package.

Jaret Reddick summed it up best when he said he’s “so happy to be going back on tour with our little bros Simple Plan,” calling it a big family after 20 years of touring together. You can hear that history in the track. It doesn’t feel forced. It feels earned.

And it’s not just the US getting the action. Bowling For Soup are also heading out across the UK in summer 2026 with Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, including stops at Dreamland in Margate, Cardiff Castle and the Eden Sessions. After that Wembley show last December, you already know they’re not turning up quietly.

Add in US dates with Simple Plan and 3OH!3, plus Warped Tour appearances in Long Beach and Montreal, and 2026 is looking stacked.

A new spin on a pop punk classic. Massive tours on both sides of the Atlantic. And two bands who helped define a generation still doing it their way.
