Melrose Avenue Get Real and Raw with Heartfelt New Single ‘This Is The End’

Melrose Avenue have never been shy about emotion, but their latest single, ‘This Is The End’, proves there’s a lot more to their sound than just chaos and breakdowns. Out now via Hopeless Records, the Sydney metalcore outfit have swapped chugging riffs for raw vulnerability — and honestly, it suits them.

Melrose Avenue – This Is The End

The track is a stripped-back, emotional ballad that digs into the pain of a breakup neither side really wanted, but knew had to happen. It’s the kind of song that makes you think about that one person — the one you weren’t ready to let go of, but had to anyway. Frontman Vlado Saric says it best: “I wrote this song as a past relationship was falling apart – I didn’t want it to end, she didn’t want it to end.. but it had to before it destroyed us both! This is probably as open as you’ll ever get with me.”

It’s a bold move for a band known for blending metalcore grit with melodic pop hooks, but Melrose Avenue pull it off like pros. There’s a haunting calm to ‘This Is The End’ that makes it feel both intimate and massive — the kind of track that’ll hit just as hard live as it does through headphones at 2am.

And speaking of live — the band are about to tear up the UK and Europe on a completely sold-out headline tour kicking off this week, before heading back to the States in early 2026 and Australia in March, where they’ll open for Rain City Drive alongside labelmate TX2. Not bad for a band that only started breaking out of the post-lockdown scene a few years ago.

Melrose Avenue have quickly become one of Australia’s most exciting exports, racking up millions of views and a growing global fanbase. With influences like Bring Me The Horizon, Papa Roach, and Memphis May Fire, it’s clear they know how to blend intensity with melody — and ‘This Is The End’ shows they’re not afraid to bare their hearts in the process.

If this is the band’s idea of slowing down, we can’t wait to see what’s next!
