Grove Street and Seth Gilmore Hit Hard with ‘Self-Sabotage’

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror mid-meltdown and thought, “yeah, I did this to myself,” Grove Street’s got the soundtrack for that moment. The Southampton hardcore/thrash crew have just dropped their brand-new single ‘Self-Sabotage’, featuring none other than Seth Gilmore — and it’s the first taste of a new LP landing summer 2026.

Grove Street – ‘Self Sabotage’

The track hits hard, but it’s not all fists and fury. It’s about screwing up, spiralling, then figuring out how to forgive yourself and move forward — something most of us can probably relate to. The verses run like an argument in your own head, the chorus punches from the heart, and Seth’s verse comes in like that brutally honest mate who tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

And here’s the kicker: Seth recorded his part in a van at Download Festival. Yep — proper DIY chaos (the good kind). He was there performing with Power Trip, Grove Street’s Sandy was driving his band Skourge on tour, and somewhere between the noise and the madness, this collaboration was born.

For anyone new to Grove Street — these guys aren’t just riding the hardcore wave, they’re steering it. From humble student-house beginnings to tearing through the UK and Europe, their mix of 90s hardcore, thrash, punk, and hip-hop has become a serious calling card. Think Pantera riffs, Beastie Boys attitude, and the kind of pit energy that makes you question your life choices the next morning.

Their 2023 debut The Path To Righteousness set the tone: heavy, sharp, and unafraid to get real about everything from police brutality to battling your own demons. And if ‘Self-Sabotage’ is anything to go by, album two is set to hit even harder — both sonically and emotionally.

So, if you’ve been waiting for a reason to dive head-first back into the pit, this might just be your sign. Crank it loud, scream it out, and maybe, just maybe, cut yourself some slack.
