Life’s Not Out to Get You Turns 10—and It’s Still Pop-Punk Perfection

Ten years ago, Neck Deep dropped Life’s Not Out to Get You—an album that didn’t just change their lives, but became the soundtrack for a whole generation of pop-punk fans. Fast forward to now, and the band are marking the milestone the only way they know how: by packing out some of the UK’s biggest venues… and yes, it’s already sold out.

From Leeds to London, every single ticket for their December 10 Year Anniversary Tour has been snapped up. Not exactly surprising when you think about it—this record is wall-to-wall anthems. “Gold Steps” still gives you that just-got-through-it feeling, “Can’t Kick Up the Roots” makes you want to run straight to your hometown pub, and “December” still hits you right in the chest. The idea of hearing the whole thing live again? Yeah, we’d queue overnight for that.

It’s been a huge year for Neck Deep already. They dropped their punchy new single “You Should See Me Now” (produced by Will Yip, no less), owned the main stage at Slam Dunk, and reminded everyone why they’re still at the very top of the scene. In just over a decade, they’ve gone from recording in the Barlow brothers’ spare room in Wrexham to racking up top 5 albums on both sides of the Atlantic and over a billion streams. Not bad for a band who started out just wanting to make a few fast, fun songs.

And here’s the thing—while this anniversary run might be sold out, we’ve heard whispers that fans might want to keep their eyes peeled over the next few days. Let’s just say… this celebration isn’t done yet!

Oh, and Neck Deep fans… you’re going to want in on this! We’re giving you the chance to get your hands on tickets to their sold-out London show — plus something extra you’ll want in your collection. The giveaway’s live now over on our Instagram, so head to @reckless.press to enter.
