Premiering exclusively through Ghost Killer Entertainment, Central Valley metalcore outfit Ourselves Among Others are back with a vengeance. Their latest single, Wasted Time, drops April 25 and marks the band’s first new release since 2024’s Sink Me Down—and it’s anything but quiet.
Defined by its blend of clean vocals and unfiltered screams, Wasted Time delivers a cinematic punch that feels like watching a bridge burn in slow motion—fitting, considering that’s exactly how the band describes it. “Cathartic, Chaotic, and Unapologetically bitter,” they explain. And that energy bleeds through every second of the track.
Sonically, it’s a gritty, high-octane mix. Guitars crunch with intent, the chorus is catchy enough to get stuck in your head after one listen, and there’s a palpable emotional weight that sets this track apart. It’s raw, it’s powerful, and it’s full of fire.
Formed in late 2023, Ourselves Among Others has wasted no time carving out a space in the scene. The six-piece band draws on a wide range of influences to create a fresh take on metalcore—combining heavy riffs with synth-infused instrumentals and emotionally charged lyricism. Their debut single “Stay Another Day” landed well with fans, and Wasted Time is poised to take that momentum even further.
