13 Years of Neck Deep: And Why Not?

Pop punk’s not dead—it just turned 13. Neck Deep officially formed on April 19, 2012, and since then, they’ve gone from recording in bedrooms in Wrexham to packing out venues around the world. Not bad for a band that started out as a passion project on Tumblr.

In just over a decade, they’ve dropped five albums, each one leveling up their sound. From the raw energy of Wishful Thinking to the polished punch of Life’s Not Out to Get You, and the self-titled Neck Deep in 2024, they’ve proven their staying power with every release.

Along the way, they’ve landed spots on Warped Tour, shared stages with some of the scene’s biggest names, and even picked up a Kerrang! Award for Best British Newcomer back in 2014. More importantly, they’ve soundtracked breakups, late-night drives, and that weird phase we all had in high school.

So here’s to 13 years of Neck Deep—may the riffs stay heavy, the lyrics stay emo, and the pop punk never grow up.
