No Cardiff, No Dublin: Fans React to New Found Glory’s Tour Announcement

Pop punk veterans New Found Glory just dropped news of a UK tour, and while most fans are celebrating, some are feeling a little left behind—literally. The band is set to return in May 2025 with a show at Chalk in Brighton and appearances at Slam Dunk Festival in Hatfield and Leeds. But there’s a notable absence on the list: no dates for Wales or Ireland.

Fans in Cardiff, Dublin, and Belfast were quick to notice the snub. And yes—we know Dublin isn’t technically part of the UK, but it’s still been a regular stop on the band’s past runs, and Irish fans have always shown up strong. The omission stings just as much.

New Found Glory has a solid history of playing these regions—Cardiff’s Tramshed and Dublin’s Academy have hosted some iconic shows in years past. So when the new dates were revealed without a stop in either country, disappointment set in.

Social media comments rolled in almost immediately, with fans pointing out the missing cities and asking if more shows might be added. One Welsh fan summed it up perfectly: “Love the band, but this feels like we’ve been left off the map.”

This UK tour comes as part of a big year for the band, who are also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Catalyst in the U.S. Between club shows and major festival slots, New Found Glory are keeping busy—but some fans are still holding out hope for a second wave of dates.

Until then, those outside England may need to travel—or just keep refreshing the band’s feed, hoping for that one more announcement.
