Mayday Parade is celebrating their 20th anniversary in style, and they’re not holding back. With a legacy built on heartfelt anthems and a dedicated fanbase, the band is kicking off this milestone year with a massive new project—a three-part album, starting with Sweet, set to drop on April 18th. Alongside the album news, they’ve also released a brand-new single, Towards You, proving once again why they remain a staple of the alternative scene.
A Stripped-Back Lovey Song with Classic Mayday Parade Emotion
The latest single, Towards You, is a raw, acoustic-driven love song that cuts straight to the heart. “Sometimes all you need is an acoustic guitar, some singing, and some strings to tell someone how much you love them,” shares vocalist Derek Sanders. The track follows By The Way and Pretty Good to Feel Something, offering a glimpse into the emotional depth of Sweet, the first installment of their ambitious three-part album series.
Recorded with longtime collaborators Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (known for their work with All Time Low and Jimmy Eat World), Sweet is Mayday Parade’s first full-length release since What It Means to Fall Apart (2021) and marks their return to self-releasing, a nod to their DIY roots.
