Taking Back Sunday are marking 20 years of one of the defining albums of the 2000s with a deluxe anniversary edition of Louder Now, arriving on October 16th via Craft Recordings.
The expanded release brings the original 2006 album back on deluxe vinyl and CD, alongside the B sides Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something) and Sleep. Fans will also have a wide range of exclusive vinyl variants to choose from, including retailer exclusive pressings and a standalone Oxblood edition of the original album.
Originally released through Warner Bros. Records, Louder Now became a major turning point for Taking Back Sunday. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, earned Gold certification within two months and featured some of the band’s biggest songs, including MakeDamnSure, What’s It Feel Like To Be A Ghost? and Liar (It Takes One To Know One). Two decades later, it remains one of the defining releases of the emo and alternative rock boom.
Reflecting on the anniversary, frontman Adam Lazzara said:
“Our record Louder Now represents a huge milestone for me, and to know it has made an impact on so many other people’s lives as well is something I still struggle to get my head around. To have the opportunity to celebrate that record with both John Nolan and Fred Mascherino on stage together, along with Shaun Cooper, is incredible to me. The songs sound stronger than I can ever remember live, and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to share that with everyone.”
The anniversary celebrations extend beyond the reissue. Taking Back Sunday are in the middle of one of their biggest touring years in recent memory, with appearances at Vans Warped Tour, Louder Than Life, Shaky Knees and Riot Fest, where they’ll perform Louder Now in full. They’ll also bring the full album show to Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre before continuing a headline tour alongside Thrice and Saves The Day.
The 2026 tour also marks the return of guitarist Fred Mascherino alongside Adam Lazzara, John Nolan and Shaun Cooper, reuniting much of the lineup that originally recorded Louder Now and giving fans another reason to celebrate one of the most influential records of its era.
