Tigers Jaw Get Real About Love, Loss, and Moving Forward on New Single “Primary Colors”

Pennsylvania favourites Tigers Jaw are back in their feelings, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The band have just shared Primary Colors, a bittersweet new single lifted from their upcoming album Lost on You, due out 27th March via Hopeless Records. If you’ve ever loved a Tigers Jaw duet, this one’s going to land hard. Ben Walsh and Brianna Collins trade lush harmonies over a warm, reflective backdrop that feels instantly familiar while still pushing their sound forward.

Ben describes Primary Colors as capturing that strange in between space after something ends. That moment where you’re stuck replaying the what ifs, but also trying to find the strength to move on. The video brings that headspace to life, following the band through a series of memory like doorways that trace a relationship from its earliest sparks to its slow unraveling. It’s subtle, emotional, and quietly powerful.

The track follows earlier singles Ghost and Head is Like a Sinking Stone, all building toward what’s shaping up to be a really special record. Lost on You was produced by longtime collaborator Will Yip, and it feels like a natural continuation of everything Tigers Jaw do best. Big melodies, driving rhythms, and those overlapping vocals that somehow still hit just as hard as they did years ago.

What makes this era exciting is how rooted it feels in their history while still sounding completely present. There are moments that feel like they belong in tiny DIY rooms, and others that feel built for packed halls. It’s a reminder of how much Tigers Jaw have shaped the modern emo and indie landscape, and how they’re still evolving without losing that emotional core.

UK fans will also get a chance to catch them live this summer when they appear at Outbreak Fest in Manchester, bringing Lost on You across the pond for what should be a seriously special set.

If Primary Colors is anything to go by, this new chapter is all about reflection, growth, and letting yourself feel everything along the way.
