Four Year Strong are back — and they didn’t come to play nice. The New England heavy-hitters have unleashed their brand new single, Whiplash, a sludgy, riff-stacked anthem that’s somehow both brutal and ridiculously catchy. It’s a track that leans harder into their heavy side without letting go of the melodic hooks that made fans fall in love with them in the first place. In true Four Year Strong fashion, it’s a musical punch to the jaw… with a singalong chorus right behind it.
The band’s new video for Whiplash dropped today, giving fans a first look at what’s shaping up to be a bold new era. It’s grimy, powerful, and soaked in that trademark FYS energy — the kind that makes you want to kick over a table and then high-five your best mate right after.
And if that wasn’t enough, the band are about to hit the road with All Time Low for a massive world tour that kicks off this month. The U.S. leg starts November 11th in Alabama and includes stops in Florida, New York, and even a spot at Warped Tour Orlando. Then, after a quick holiday break, they’re crossing the pond for a huge UK and Europe run through early 2026 — including a date at London’s O2 Arena. Yeah, it’s that big.
It’s been a minute since we’ve heard new material from Four Year Strong, but it sounds like the wait was worth it. Their upcoming album analysis paralysis was born out of a creative reset — literally starting from scratch in the studio with producer Will Putney. According to the band, they went in without a single finished song and came out with a record that pushes their sound into heavier, more experimental places while still keeping that unmistakable FYS DNA. Expect thunderous breakdowns, fuzzy alt-rock nods, and even a touch of reggae — because why not?
If Whiplash is anything to go by, Four Year Strong are about to remind everyone why they’ve been one of the most consistent forces in pop-punk and hardcore for nearly two decades. Strap in — things are about to get loud.
