WARGASM are back and they’ve brought another middle finger to mediocrity with their explosive new single, Small World Syndrome. It’s loud, it’s chaotic, and it’s got that unfiltered, no-fucks-given energy only Milkie Way and Sam Matlock can deliver.
This marks the second track the duo have released independently since cutting ties with the “industry machine” – and if you were wondering whether that’s changed anything, the answer is absolutely not. If anything, they’ve gotten weirder, wilder, and more dangerous. Small World Syndrome is a rant in all the right ways – calling out the soul-sucking sameness of gentrified cities, boring lights, shuttered venues, and a world that keeps getting duller. WARGASM are screaming what a lot of us are quietly thinking: everything cool is being bulldozed for flats and frappuccinos.
The track comes with a music video that’s completely off the rails (in the best way) – think backstreet lobotomies, evil nans, and Milkie running for office. It’s all very WARGASM: absurd, stylish, and oddly too believable for comfort. You can check it out above!
If that wasn’t enough, they’ve announced a special phone-free headline show at London’s Outernet on September 28th with Tropic Gold and Filthy Pig along for the ride – a rare chance to fully lock in without someone filming the whole thing for TikTok. And then in November, they’ll be hitting the road hard with Electric Callboy and Bury Tomorrow for a massive UK/EU tour that’s sure to level venues across the continent.

WARGASM aren’t playing nice. They’re here to shake things up, spit in the face of convention, and blow the speakers while they’re at it. If Small World Syndrome is any indication, 2025 might just be their most unhinged era yet.
